Precioso y tranquilo camping, ideal para descansar, en un entorno único. Es muy bonito y los trabajadores son muy simpáticos.
Por decir algo, los baños no son de cinco estrellas y se agradecería que hubiera alguna información en español
La parcela era espectacular. Tenemos una caravana muy grande y los vecinos seguían lejos. Genial!!
Thank you for the beautifull grade. As for the toilets, it is a back-up toilet block, the main one is near the castle and yes, we can have information in spanish but so few Spanish people come to Chanteloup, it wasn't a problem ;)

This is a lovely spot. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, pitches and cabins set back in shady trees with a lake, a pool and spotlessly clean ablutions. A pleasant restaurant and a little shop. And all managed by the most wonderful, warm hearted and friendly staff you could wish for - all multilingual. This will become a regular stop for us to / from Caen. Oh .. and dogs stay for free too!

Our request for a shaded site was granted which was a relief as we were there during the heatwave. The reception staff could not be more helpful and provided some freezer space to chill our cool packs. The bar and restaurant were lovely although the menu is a bit unimaginative. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. The pool area was very pretty and catered for kids as well as adults.
The only negative I have is about dealing with plastic waste. Bins for general waste and glass waste were plentiful across the site but there was a sign on the bins saying plastic waste must be taken to the bin at the red gate. I asked a member of staff where it was and he took me in a buggy. I think it would be helpful to have a bin for plastic waste along side the other bins.

Friendly helpful staff, most of whom speak English. Great pool area, nice dog walking area through a wooded area. Wifi not that great. Bar was good and prices were reasonable ( £6 for a pint of Lager)

De keuze van campingplek in het voorseizoen. Ivm hitte gingen we van veel zon naar een schaduwplek op voorstel medewerker! Netjes.
Tussen de bomen iets meer verlichting. De bar open houden tijdens de voetbalwedstrijden i.i.g. tot sluitingstijd open houden en niet eerder sluiten.

Delightful setting in the grounds of a beautiful chateau, spacious unstructured pitches, super friendly & helpful staff, plentiful & clean facilities, delicious evening meal & fresh bread & pastries delivered in the morning from the local boulangerie

At 50 euros 40 cents for a motorhome with 2 adults for 1 night it was very expensive

Thank you very much for your review and feedback. We have chosen to accept one-night stays, which is not the case everywhere. However, a €10 surcharge applies to one-night bookings. This fee is automatically waived for stays of two nights or more. 😉

Booked having spent 4 nights at another castles site

Pitch was very poor this is not a 5 star camp site. Pool area is untidy. CDP is a long walk from our pitch, no wine coolers in the restaurant

A very beautiful campsite. The connection between the old castle and nature gives the site a very special character. Excellent and prompt communication beforehand, super nice and friendly staff, and there were even a few treats for the dog at reception.
The German translation on the homepage could be a bit better. 😉

Professional hospitality in a campsite

We had booked well in advance and requested a particular area with shade, which was reserved for us. In the heatwave this was necessary! Even though we couldn’t stay as long as we had hoped to, the setting was perfect.

Ruhe grosszügiger platz man steht nicht direkt neben dem nächsten Wohnmobil
Strom das scheint überall in Frankreich ein Problem zu sein anstatt 230V kommt max 207 V rein

We only stayed for one night but the way the caravans and campers were pitched in a circle looking at the house was lovely and gave everyone a feeling of space The take away meals in the restaurant were good value The pool was lovely and clean The whole place had a friendly ambiance
