Thank you for the beautifull grade. As for the toilets, it is a back-up toilet block, the main one is near the castle and yes, we can have information in spanish but so few Spanish people come to Chanteloup, it wasn't a problem ;)

With the drought, water restrictions and high temperatures, it has been very difficult to maintain the green areas and keep them looking their best. We had planted many new trees, but unfortunately, a number of them did not survive the heatwave. Despite regular watering, we lost many trees, which has been a significant loss for us. Regarding the restaurant, we will of course pass your comments on to the manager. Fortunately, the overall feedback about the restaurant has been positive, but your comments are important to us and will be taken into consideration. As for the hot water, the situation was unfortunately beyond our control, and we did everything we could to resolve it as quickly as possible. In the middle of August, many companies and technicians are on holiday, which made it more difficult to get a quick response in an emergency. During this period, however, you could use the “family” shower or the accessible shower, as both have their own independent water heaters.

Thank you for your feedback, which is very important to us. Regarding the music, throughout the entire season we only organise two events with music. However, in the future we will make sure to monitor the speaker volume more carefully, as sound tends to carry quite a lot from the terrace. Regarding the hot water, unfortunately our boiler broke down right in the middle of the high season. Several technicians came to try to identify the fault and understand the problem. We replaced several parts and even travelled to Angers to collect one ourselves, but unfortunately this did not solve the issue. Although we hoped the boiler could be repaired, we immediately ordered mobile shower units from a specialised company. These were delivered as soon as possible. Please understand that during the peak holiday season, many people and businesses are less available, which made it more difficult to get a quick response to our requests. We are very sorry about this situation, but what happened was beyond our control, and we did everything we could to make sure everyone could have access to hot water. We completely understand your frustration regarding this issue, and we are grateful that the majority of our campers were very understanding. During this period, it was also possible to use the “family” shower or the accessible shower, as both have their own independent water heaters.

As for the prices, they were displayed, but perhaps this campsite simply isn’t the right fit for you 😉

To ensure everyone's comfort, we arranged for a company to provide temporary mobile showers. We are very sorry about this situation, but unfortunately it was beyond our control. The replacement part has been ordered, but in the middle of the high season, many technicians are away on holiday, which has made the repair process more difficult. In the meantime, you could use either the “family” shower or the accessible shower, as both have their own independent water heaters. The sanitary facilities are cleaned regularly throughout the day, but with so many guests on site during the high season, it can be very difficult to keep these areas perfectly clean at all times.

That is certainly not what we want but with the incident on the boiler which broke down in the middle of the high season, we did what we could but also knew we would have bad reviews, but it is completely beyond our control. Many technicians have been on site trying to identify and fix the problem, replacing various parts but unfortunately it still did not solve the issue. Mobile shower units were installed, but it does not fix the problem for the dishes. Many campers were very understanding, while others were not. We are sincerely sorry for this situation and we fully understand your frustration. About the cleaning, the cleaning staff did their best but when it is busy and some people are not respectful, it can sometimes be very difficult to keep the facilities clean at all times ;)

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you did not have an excellent experience at Chanteloup. The building you mentioned is still under review. We have not yet decided whether it should be removed or renovated, but we have taken note of your comments. The facilities are cleaned regularly throughout the day. However, it is a small block and, during the high season, with the large number of campers using it, it can be difficult to keep it clean for long. Regarding the electric vehicle charging station, this is of course a project that is on our list. However, we have to prioritise the most urgent matters and unfortunately cannot do everything at once. Nevertheless, it is something we are planning to introduce. For your information, electric vehicle charging stations are not among the 200 official mandatory criteria required for a campsite to be awarded a 5-star rating, but we completely understand your request. ;)

The following day, another specialist came to investigate, but he was also unable to repair it. Although we hoped the system would be working again quickly, we immediately ordered mobile shower units so everyone could appreciate a hot shower. We are sincerely sorry for this situation. It is completely beyond our control, and we are doing everything we can to restore hot water for everyone. We fully understand your frustration. It is the holidays in France so just ordering a part is easy but finding a technician to replace it is another story. We hope around the 15 of August, this will not be a problem anymore.
