Herzlicher Empfang. Sehr sauberes Sanitär. Ein kleiner ruhiger gemütlicher Campingplatz . Uns hat es hier sehr gut gefallen. Das kleine Bistro bietet leckere Speisen an.
Der Stellplatz war groß und schön gelegen.

Regarding the “chaotic” arrival, we suspect this may have been linked to your wish to shorten your 10-night stay as soon as you arrived, mainly because of the weather forecast — before even having had the chance to discover the campsite. We simply explained that a confirmed 10-night booking is a commitment and cannot be shortened at the last minute depending on the weather. Fortunately, Normandy decided to prove us right! 😉 The weather turned out much better than forecast, you stayed all 10 nights and, judging by your review, you were happy with your stay after all! We enjoyed our stay very much. The bathrooms are very clean. It is very peaceful and quiet. Laurent and Delphine are very nice and very helpful.
Our pitch was very large and had a nice view. Our car was also on the pitch. The bathrooms were in close distance.

Excellent location and a quiet and pretty place. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the snack bar.
Everything we needed for our stay, with water and electricity provided directly to every pitch. Laurant and Delphine were informative and helpful at every stage.

Chère famille Cocatrix, Merci pour votre avis et pour vos compliments sur le calme, la propreté de nos sanitaires et notre étang de pêche 😊 Concernant la piscine, petite précision pour nos futurs vacanciers : sa température est **maintenue à 26°C minimum** et peut monter naturellement jusqu’à **28-29°C selon la température extérieure**. Elle ne descend donc jamais en dessous de 26°C. Mais nous avons tous notre propre « thermomètre intérieur » 😄 : certains trouvent 26°C très agréable, tandis que d’autres, un peu plus frileux, préféreraient une eau tropicale ! Nous avons fait le choix de ne pas chauffer davantage, afin de conserver une température confortable tout en restant dans une démarche **écologique et raisonnable en consommation d’énergie**. Nous espérons que cette précision rassurera les futurs nageurs qui hésiteraient à se jeter à l’eau ! 🏊♀️😊 Au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau au Camping Le Picard ! nous avons passé un agréable séjour au Camping le Picard (pour la 2ème fois). Grâce à Delphine, nous avons eu la liste de ce que nous pouvions faire de le coin en fonction de nos souhaits. Les sanitaires et tous les différents équipements sont très bien tenus et nettoyés plusieurs fois par jour. Laurent nous a même aidé à réparer une des fermetures de la tente : rien à redire, ils sont disponibles et accueillants
l'emplacement était suffisant pour nous 2, quoique un peu plus grand nous aurait permis de mieux nous installer mais parfait pour la taille de notre tente sans compter que le point eau et électricité était juste à côté

Welcome and facilities
The pitches are too small for the modern motorhome
Pitch ok for tents but not for 7+ m motorhomes
The access and turns are too narrow. Took me 10 mins getting onto my pitch. Overhanging trees also catching awnings and aerials.

We are a little surprised by your comments regarding the pitch and access, especially as you stayed with us last year and the layout and pitches have not changed. When you had difficulty accessing your original pitch this year, we offered you an alternative location, and you chose pitch No. 36 yourself. We therefore did our best to find a solution that suited you. We understand that manoeuvring a 7m+ motorhome can sometimes require care, particularly around trees and hedges, but the access and pitch configuration are unchanged from your previous stay. Everything we needed on site. Weren't aware of the strict swim shorts rule in the pool so unable to use. Restaurant food was very good. Hosts were very helpful and hardworking. Great pitch by all amenities.

A small family run site with everything you need. The attention to detail is great, from the site app, to the restaurant, to the freezer for your ice blocks and the super clean ablutions and so much more. The location is great for visiting so much of what Normandy offers. It's idyllic and quiet. Delphine and Laurent are lovely people and will do all they can to help. We'll be back!

It is actually an investment we are considering. For the moment, however, we have chosen to prioritise improvements and investments in our sanitary facilities. As a small family-run campsite, we have to move forward step by step, according to our means. Lovely little site. I booked late here & as I had an 8m Caravan they could only site us right by the Pool, but it was perfect & not as noisy as we expected. On arrival we were given a guide of the site & showed where everything was. The people running the site work tirelessly, I don’t know where they got the energy from. We only used the small Cafe/Bar once on the Fish & Chips evening & it was good. I can’t comment on the Toilets & showers because we used our Caravan facilities, but they looked clean. It was ideal four visiting the Brittany D Day Landing sites. Would return again.
Flies were an irritant in the Cafe. Maybe something at the door entrance may help.
Only one disappointment. One couple pitched a tent close to us just the other side of the Hedge. We were very conscious of them as they were just 2m away. It made it a Fire Hazard. I noticed some children playing with a Ball near to the Pitches & the lady asked them not to play there. Sadly on other occasions it went un noticed. Perhaps some information or signs.

Dear Mr and Mrs Edge, Thank you very much for your lovely review and for appreciating the calm atmosphere of our little campsite, as well as our efforts to make your stay enjoyable. We are delighted that you enjoyed the Fish & Chips evening and that our location was ideal for visiting the D-Day Landing Beaches. Regarding the points you mentioned, we would just like to add a little context. Due to the particularly dry conditions during your stay, barbecues were temporarily prohibited, and this was explained to guests on arrival, as a safety precaution. For ball games, we do have a dedicated play area, and we do our best to remind children when they are playing too close to the pitches. Unfortunately, we cannot supervise every corner of the campsite at all times! We sometimes feel a little like campsite police 😊. Your comment is nevertheless useful, as it reminds us that playing football near the pitches can be a real nuisance for neighbouring campers, and we will make this clearer to everyone. As for the flies, this is one of the little challenges of being in the countryside! We do have a UV fly lamp in the café, although we agree that it is not always enough, especially at certain times of the year. Thank you again for your kind words and for your constructive comments. Pour la piscine, elle est actuellement à **27 °C** 🌡️. Avec des températures extérieures autour de 31 °C, il est vrai qu’elle peut donner une petite sensation de fraîcheur 😅… mais c’est justement son rôle en plein été : permettre de se rafraîchir ! 🏊♀️☀️ Nous faisons également le choix de ne pas augmenter davantage sa température, par souci de consommation d’énergie et pour rester cohérents avec notre démarche environnementale. 🌿 Au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau pour une nouvelle parenthèse au calme en Normandie ! 😊 Cordialement, Delphine & Laurent
