This was our first stay in one of the cottages while we prepare for our caravan winter storage also at Le Picard. The weather was fairly typical for late October; it rained at night and sunshine during the day. We felt very relaxed enjoying the pretty views from all the windows. As always, we enjoyed the self catering aspect of our stay eating and drinking the local Normandie produce.

The cottage was very comfortable and we slept very well. It was immaculately clean on arrival and well resourced with everything we would require for a longer stay too. As the evenings were drawing in earlier after the clocks changed we were grateful to find the main english channels on the TV. The cottage was cosy and warm with efficient heating which we could easily control. The shower was strong and efficient. We would book again.
None. We found it good value for money and suited our needs and enjoyment.

Regarding the night lighting, it is intentionally limited as we use solar-powered lights in order to reduce light pollution and help preserve the local wildlife in the countryside. However, you are right that during autumn, when daylight hours are shorter, the lighting can be a little less intense. We appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you again soon! Very nice campsite owners very welcoming facilties modern and kept to a very good standard, large pitches. Would definitely recomend .

Regarding the WiFi, as we mentioned in previous replies, we are aware of the weak connection in certain areas. During the winter, we will be looking for solutions to improve it, although our rural location limits the available speed. For the adapters, we always keep some available for loan at reception. We may have forgotten to mention this on your arrival, but we do include this information in the newsletter sent 7 days before your stay. Tres bien, malgré les nuages et le soleil caché, je fais quelques longueurs dans la piscine. Le nouveau bloc sanitaire mérite 10/10 pour propreté, les douche chaude?

La tranquillité, le cadre , la gentillesse, la propreté.
Impossible de garer à côté du mobile home, numero 37 , il fallait se garer à 50 mètres ,et quand il pleut pour décharger les affaires ce n est pas marrant ....dommage. et pas beaucoup éclairé extérieur le soir dans les allées.

Un bruit infernal lorsque l on ouvre l eau au robinet de l évier, la télévision marchait de temps en temps, toujours marqué erreur...la bonde de la douche n évacue pas assez vite ,on avait toujours 5cm d eau , il ne fallait surtout pas tirer d eau à l évier quand quelqu'un prenait sa douche , le plafond partait en lambeaux, toile toute abîmée, nous n avons pas pu se baigner, car la ligne de flottaison du lainer ,noire très sale alors pas de risque de se baigner, encore dommage pour un trois étoile 🌟 🌟 🌟
Cher M. Villemagne, Merci d’avoir pris le temps de laisser un avis. Nous tenons cependant à apporter quelques précisions : 👉 Concernant le stationnement, tous les vacanciers ayant séjourné dans ce mobilhome se sont garés à environ 25 mètres (et non 50). Cela n'empêche pas de stationner à côté du cottage pour décharger. Dans votre cas vous avez laissé malgré tout votre voiture à côté de votre cottage même si cela empiétait sur le chemin d’accès – ce qui est interdit pour des raisons de sécurité, mais nous n’avons rien dit pensant que vous aviez des difficultés pour marcher. 👉 Pour la TV, le robinet ou la douche : si cela était vraiment « infernal », pourquoi ne pas nous l’avoir signalé ? Nous ne sommes pas devins, mais nous intervenons toujours rapidement (comme nous l’avons fait dès le premier jour). Le cottage est équipé d’un chauffe-bain : il est donc normal de ne pas tirer d’eau chaude à la cuisine pendant qu’une personne prend sa douche. Vous êtes d’ailleurs les seuls de la saison à vous en plaindre. 👉 Quant à la piscine : il ne s’agissait pas de saleté, mais simplement de la ligne de flottaison, marquée par l’usage répété de crème solaire et par l’absence de prise de douches avant la baignade. Tout le reste du bassin était parfaitement propre, et la peinture sera refaite comme chaque année à la fermeture. Enfin, nous notons avec un certain sourire que, malgré tous ces reproches, vous êtes partis en nous disant que « c’était bien » : la tranquillité, le cadre, la gentillesse et la propreté. Merci donc de vous être défoulés par écrit, cela nous rappelle qu’il est plus facile de critiquer derrière un écran qu’en face-à-face 😉 Bien cordialement, Delphine & Laurent

WIFI !!! Een wifi verbinding waarin je alleen, als je geluk hebt en veel tijd beschikbaar, je mail kan binnenhalen, is niet meer van deze tijd. Dat je niet full streaming kan, is acceptabel, maar daar zit een mijl tussen met wat je nu hebt. Als dat betekent dat je per dag iets meer moet betalen, zou ik dat er graag voor over hebben
Prima: alle belangrijke voorzieningen aanwezig, uitzonderlijk schoon.
6 personen? Dan hoop ik wel dat je HEEEEEL mooi weer hebt, want zelfs met twee is de oppervlakte beperkt. Maar de plek die wij hadden (27): van de vroege ochtend tot in de avond zon en schaduw, dus perfect voor iedereen, zolang je buiten kan leven. En de veranda is echt heerlijk.

Regarding the Wi-Fi, we understand your comments: we are currently looking into improvements to make the connection more stable. However, our goal will remain to provide access mainly for checking emails or light browsing, not for streaming. Staying with us is meant to be a time to disconnect and enjoy a real holiday. As for the size, your mobile home reserved is 31m². We have already hosted families of 6 people for two-week stays without negative feedback about the space. Of course, it is not a holiday cottage but a mobile home, which is part of the camping experience — living more outdoors and closer to nature. To give another perspective: the previous guests stayed in the very same mobile home with just 2 people and rated their experience a 10/10, which shows that the feeling of space is very subjective. La taille du camping, les infrastructures mise à disposition (terrain de boule, piscine), la qualité de notre cottage et la situation du camping
la qualité du WIFI et de la réception 4G (mais ca vous n'y êtes pour rien)

Concernant le WiFi, nous sommes justement en train d’étudier des solutions pour améliorer ce point dès la saison prochaine. Pour ce qui est de la réception 4G… malheureusement, cela dépend des opérateurs, et là, nous n’avons pas (encore !) la main 😅 Et oui, le lave-vaisselle en vacances, c’est clairement le luxe — même s’il faut encore préparer les repas 😉 Merci encore et au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau ! The site is quiet, clean, well run, and perfectly located to discover all that Normandy has to offer. Delphine and Laurent are great hosts, were very informative and both speak excellent English - which to our shame, was most welcome. I highly recommend Le Picard and all being well, we will definitely return.

It was our first caravaning holiday in France and this is the best place for a first trip abroad, location perfect, facilities clean and tidy and the couple that run/own the site are fantastic , the food in the restaurant out of this world

We stayed for 3 nights lovely site, very peaceful. Owls hooting, sheep in the field behind us, peacock wandering around great natural site. We stayed in September. Swimming pool available, I did not have the right swim ware only proper trunks are allowed, not swim shorts. Bread daily if you order in advance from reception limited choices but fabulous service, saved us getting up early to find a baker.
We left quite early on our day of departure, it would have been good to have a light in the loo disposal point & by the rubbish area.
The pitch was great almost full service, water & English electric point. We stayed on pitch 24.

It’s a national rule, not just ours! As for the light at the chemical disposal point and rubbish area — your suggestion makes total sense. But maybe... just maybe… the lack of lighting is our secret trick to keep things quiet and avoid clattering bins and toilet cassettes in the early hours 😄 That said, we’ll definitely think about it.
